Captured New Zealand wife-killer suspect has arrived back in the country accompanied by four American escorts from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. The Chinese man who was formerly on 'America's Most Wanted' television program was arrested in Georgia after being detained by six members of the local Chinese community.
Nai Yin Xue from Auckland in New Zealand had fled to Melbourne,Australia, after allegedly killing his wife An An Liu, whose body was later found in the boot of a car outside the family home in the suburb of Mount Roskill.

Xue took his young daughter,Quian Xun Xue, to a Melbourne train station, where he abandoned her and fled by air to California. CCTV footage showed him leaving his daughter at the station. His daughter became known worldwide as little "Pumpkin". She was later taken to Auckland and was released in the custody of her maternal grandmother by a NZ Family Court. She was taken to China by her grandmother.

Two New Zealand policemen flew to the US last week to gather evidence against Xue,but were not involved in his return to New Zealand. Xue's deportation was handled by the American Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency.

He has appeared in a NZ district court and been charged with murder. NZ police had worked hard during the five months Xue was on the loose preparing for his inevitable arrest and murder charge.

NZ police are keen for the group of Chinese in Georgia who captured Xue, to receive the $10,000 reward offered for his capture.

There is also a rumour that his late wife was pregnant when he allegedly murdered her. Any official discussion of this could prejudice the case against Xue.

Now we can truly say goodbye, little Pumpkin...

Little Pumpkin's father, Nai Yin Xue, is to be deported back to New Zealand because he has basically overstayed a 90 day visitors visa. This will take up to 14 days.

He is now in the hands of the US Immigration and Customs Departments and will not be able to challenge their rulings. This will prevent Xue from legally challenging an extradition order which could have taken months,or possibly years with the right legal team.

Mr Xue should be back in New Zealand soon facing prosecution for the murder of his wife, Anan Liu, the mother of "Little Pumpkin", Quian Xun Xue.

Xue allegedly killed his wife, stuffed her body in the boot of a car outside the family home in Auckland, NZ, and kidnapped his daughter, taking her to Melbourne, Australia, and abandoned her at a train station. He then took a flight to California, USA.

Quian Xun Xue is now safely living in China with her maternal grandmother, after a NZ Family Court granted the grandmother custody of her granddaughter some months ago.

The deportation of Xue back to NZ, and his prosecution will result in closure for little Quian who became known as "Little Pumpkin" through television and Melbourne CCCTV rail station footage - she was wearing a distinguishable style of 'Pumpkin Patch' children's clothing.

Now we can now truly say goodbye little Pumpkin. Closure at last,little one!

The Black Triangle Mystery - UFO sightings in Britain...

Since 1990 there has allegedly been 4000 sightings of what has been described as the "Flying Triangle", the "Black Triangle" or "Silent Vulcan" over the skies of Britain.
In the early 90's there were apparently similar sightings over mainland Europe - Belgium, France, Holland and Germany; with fighter aircraft being sent up to intercept these alien craft.

The British Government claims the "Black Triangle" UFO is a secret military aircraft and has ordered the BBC and other media not to report on them. Really?

If the sightings are of a secret military aircraft why do they hover over motorways, power stations, graveyards and other areas as though they are looking for something?

All very mysterious and needing some pretty solid research, I would suggest.

IRB Sevens rugby tournament at Wellington, NZ, - a two day party, and some rugby too...

The IRB Rugby Sevens at Wellington, New Zealand. A two day party! The annual sevens tournament lived up to its hype and expectations again at the Wellington Stadium. They party in the south stand in Hong Kong, and everywhere at Wellington. And dress up in a variety of amazing and imaginative costumes for the event. Hey, there's even some seven- a-side rugby too!

New Zealand hadn't won its own tournament since 2005, and since it had won the first two tournaments of the year at Dubai, and George, South Africa, it was going to be a tough favourite for the final - and last years winner, Samoa too! Throw in Fiji, England, South Africa,Australia, Tonga and Argentina - and you had a battle royal on your hands.

Well, some of the more favoured teams didn't make it past the quarter finals. Even Samoa went down 0- 19 to New Zealand in pool play. But after 43 games the final came down to an unbeaten New Zealand, and last years winner, Samoa.

The final was completely different to the pool game won by NZ - this was the real McCoy, tough,uncompromising and amazingly skilful - a real final. With four minutes to go and all tied up at 17-17, it was all on. A final attack and a new star in the mould of Jonah Lomu - "Victor Vito" scored the winning try to give NZ victory.

After the award ceremony at least 25,000 of the original 35,000 who had packed the stadium wanted to continue partying. Soon they too disappeared fom sight into the evening heat to continue at downtown bars and restaurants. Another great tournament - you are personally invited to next years tournament - same time, same place!

Egyptian girl died during despicable female circumcision procedure...

The reported death of a 12 year old Egyptian girl at the hands of a doctor performing that revolting practice of female circumcision had apparently sparked a public outcry there, and so it should, and has prompted health and religious authorities to ban the practice. It is, after all, a cultural practice that has really nothing to do with Islam. It is practised in North Africa and Afghanistan, and has more to do with the sexist treatment of women in those countries - treatment allied with that of animals ie possessions.

The poor little girl who was named Badour Shaker, died a few months ago while undergoing the procedure in an illegal clinic in the southern town of Maghagh. Her mother, Zeniab Abdel Ghani, said she paid about 50 Egyptian pounds($NZ11.85) to a female physician to perform the disgusting procedure.

The mother also said the doctor tried to bribe her to withdraw a lawsuit accusing the physician of murdering her daughter, in return for 15,000 ponds, but she refused.

A forensic inquiry into the case indicated the girl’s death was caused by an anaethesia overdose.

It is to be hoped that there is a state enquiry into the corruption surrounding this and other similar cases.

Sir Ed Hillary - the conqueror of Everest - he died today - RIP ...

The conqueror of Mount Everest has died. The giant of the forest has fallen!

New Zealand mourns the death of Sir Edmund Hillary, arguably the greatest New Zealander in living memory; he died today of a heart attack at Auckland Hospital after a long illness. He was 88 years old.

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first person to climb Mount Everest, in 1953, accompanied by Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. He is also a living legend in Nepal where he set up a trust in the 1960's to build hospitals and schools in the kingdom.

He has been described as an inspiration to millions. He was the first New Zealander to appear on New Zealand currency. He will appear on a new $5.00 note here.

He was originally a beekeeper in the North Island and reportedly financed his mountaineering trips from that activity. He started his climbing in NZ of Mount Cook and then overseas to Nepal.

Sir Ed's exploits overshadowed the coronation of Queen Elizabeth the Second in 1953, and for his comments on radio of " I knocked the bastard off !" He was also well known for his adventuring activities in Antarctica where he transversed the continent in a tractor.

His legacy will live on. His exploits were classic 'boys own' and will continue to inspire generations of New Zealanders to come. He is almost venerated by Nepalese of his generation.

He will be honoured with a state funeral, normally reserved for prime ministers who have died in office, or former governors general. His honour is for a national icon who died in office.He is also a former ambassador to India.

Stingrays not so harmless down under in New Zealand....

We keep reading about these sea creatures who have attacked a number of humans, some fatally over the years.

The latest occurred in recent days in New Zealand. A Dannevirke, North Island, man in his 40's was dragging a net at Herbertville Beach in the southern Hawkes Bay, when he was attacked.

One of the stings went into one side of his leg and out the other, breaking off the barb.

He was treated at the scene by ambulance officers and then taken by rescue helicopter to Palmerston North hospital. An ambulance spokesman said he had been in considerable pain.

It is well over a year since since Australian television celebrity and iconic crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin, was fatally stabbed in the heart by a stingray barb.

His death was similar to that of an 18 year old New Zealand woman in 1939, who was at first believed to have been a victim of a sexual attack, but a post mortem later discovered that her heart wounds were caused by a stingray barb.
